I don’t use tumblr anymore, but as a gay nonbinary YuGiOh fan whose uncle died in the AIDS crisis: fuck this project. The death of my family is not a goddamn aesthetic for a fan project about a cartoon for 9 year olds. There’s a time and a place for talking about the more open and less palatable to cishet people parts of queer history, and a fandom Zine is NOT it.

the most noteworthy thing to happen is that this week i got deeply invested into pretty cure again and my gf got deeply invested in fujobait sports anime again so basically we just timewarped back to 2013

I havent done ZX month since the first mod tried to start a witch hunt against me for expressing discomfort about something to a friend in a respectful manner but it does make me happy to see people still participate in it, a lot of my general ZX posts still get interaction too and it’s sweet even if I don’t plan to do fan content for anything outside of plushies anymore
